While there has been no official word yet about the storyline for the new season, it has been reported that the "American Horror Story" team has expressed an interest in adopting The Slender Man, a Creepypasta character written by Eric Knudsen for "Something Awful" in 2009, reported Movie Pilot.

The character is a tall, thin man in a dark suit, and has no face. Some iterations of the character show him sporting tentacles. He has power to control children and uses them to do things for him.

The "AHS" team still has to acquire rights to use the character in the show but as early as now, fans are already suggesting who could play him in the sixth season of "American Horror Story."

Two of the top suggestions are James Cromwell, who played AHS villain Dr. Arthur Arden, a Nazi doctor in Season 2. Not only does Cromwell fit the role physically with his towering 6'7" height, he has also proven himself in playing ominous villains in the past effectively.

Another option would be to cast Doug Jones, who is no stranger to playing prosthetic clad antagonists in the past. An advantage of having him on board would be that he has already played Slender Man before in "Always Watching: A Marble Hornet's Story."

If rumors are to be believed, next season of American Horror Story will take on its most modern monster yet: the Slender Man. The creepy black-suited creature’s origins go back only to 2009, as a creepy image created by Something Awful forum user Eric Knudsen, but the meme did what things on the internet often do: it took on a life of its own. As he exists today in books, video games, movies, and online, the Slender Man has become a melting point of some of pop culture’s creepiest adversaries.

“Someone else wrote the script, and AHS wants to adapt it to fit the show,” an insider told Us Weekly about the possibility of The Slender Man appearing in Season 6. Though that’s pretty far from a confirmation, there’s a potentially complicated stumbling block in the way. “They have to buy the rights. Then they’re going to figure out the cast from there,” the insider says. Who exactly owns the rights to the Slender Man when he has been molded by so many pop-cultural influences? That’s potentially for FX, Ryan Murphy, and Knudsen to work out.

What we do know is that, most commonly, the Slender Man is extremely tall and thin and wears a black suit. He’s often portrayed with tentacle-like arms (or sometimes just tentacles) and has a tendency to kidnap children. Knudsen said he wanted “to formulate something whose motivations can barely be comprehended, and [which caused] unease and terror in a general population.” Mission accomplished. The meme has been cited as the inspiration for at least one stabbing, by two 12-year-old girls no less, in Wisconsin. The episodes of American Horror Story practically write themselves.
Forgive me for lacking in the Slender new department for...SO DAMN LONG!!
I'm hoping to make up for it with this little bit of info.
